PANEL ONE: Back in the present, KARAK stares at ADRIAN, expecting that Adrian now understands why he’s under suspicion.

NARR:
And that was the last we knew of him. Until you came, bearing his key.

ADRIAN:
I didn’t steal it!

KARAK:
I believe you.

PANEL TWO: KARAK addresses the other KLACKARS.

KARAK:
This is a child. He could not have rent the Weave, he could not have taken Orbos, but most importantly…

PANEL THREE: KARAK places a huge hand on ADRIAN’s shoulder, who looks a little intimidated as he glances at it. A SCOUT asks a question:

KARAK:
...he was able to use the key to come here.

SCOUT:
What does this mean, Lord Commander?

PANEL FOUR: KARAK gently places the key around ADRIAN’s neck.

KARAK:
It means he possesses the gift of magic. The key responds to him as it does not to any of us.

PANEL FIVE: KARAK stands up again, hands on his hips. He is more like a Drill Instructor now. ADRIAN looks stunned.

KARAK:
This puts new light on the situation. In order to free Orbos, it appears you must fight this Macready.

ADRIAN:
Fight Professor Macready?
