EPISODE EIGHT:
The King of Beddington
PANEL ONE: KYLE walking down the street, looking scowlly. In the background are Twogargs characters and Sherri saying the lines like “How ya doin’?” and “Hey Sherri, it’s the King!” There should maybe be a street sign saying Beddington on it, or some other Beddington reference.
NARR:
When he walks down the street
He scowls at everyone. (“Hey look, it’s the King!”)
Everyone that he meets
Calls him King of Beddington. (“How ya doin’?” “Put ‘er there, King!” “Hey Sherri, it’s King!”)
PANEL TWO: KYLE is drinking Mountain Dew and noticing he has no money in his pockets.
NARR:
He finds glory in the retro that surrounds him.
His friends say drinking Mountain Dew brings him luck.
But then his mother tells a slightly different story
He's the only king around without a buck!
PANEL THREE: KYLE in his recliner, enjoying MASH on the TV.
NARR:
He’s a man among men -
Nostalgia’s champion!
And when M*A*S*H re-runs call him…
(buzz... buzz... "Yes sir, I’ll put you right through")
He’s the King of Beddington!
PANEL FOUR: KYLE walking away from the camera, towards who-knows-where. He is shrugging and saying “Meh.”
NARR:
He's a haircutting king
But he don’t like hugs
And when destiny calls him...
(buzz... buzz... "I'm sorry, that line is STILL busy")
He just fucking shrugs
KYLE:
Meh.
NARR:
("Whatta guy!")
