PAGE NINE
PANEL ONE: Flashback: this page should be colored in sepiatone to give it an old-timey feel. We see the two Corregan parents searching the woods for their child, holding lanterns in their hands.
NARR:
Melissa had gone missing in June. Her parents searched everywhere but she never turned up; she had just vanished.
PANEL TWO: Mr. and Mrs. CORREGAN appeal to the Town Council, a group of men and women seated behind raised desks in an old-timey council chamber.
NARR:
They appealed to the town council for help; and the council agreed to use their magic to search for her.
PANEL THREE: split panel where we see men and women reading runes, looking into a crystal ball, reading tarot, and holding a pendulum over a map.
NARR:
They scried, and cast finding spells, divined and read the cards…but nothing turned up. One Witch said all she saw was “a great blackness all around.”
PANEL FOUR: The TOWN COUNCIL, with lanterns, join the CORREGANS in the search for Melissa. A shot of many lanterns spreading throughout the woods.
NARR:
They carried on the search, but eventually had to declare an end; Melissa Corregan was either missing or dead.
PANEL FIVE: MR. and MRS. CORREGAN in front of their farmhouse, holding each other, sad.
NARR:
Her parents, heartbroken, went home to wait for her in case she returned; but of course, she never did.
