PAGE TWENTY

PANEL ONE: Punch suddenly turns to face us. MARSDEN and JANE are frozen still in the background.

PUNCH:
Oh, don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten you, kids.

PANEL TWO: PUNCH jerks a thumb toward MARSDEN as he sits on the edge of MARSDEN’s desk.

PUNCH:
This is Punch 101: Antagonizing your enemy.

PANEL THREE: PUNCH makes an “OK” sign with his fingers.

PUNCH:
It’s what I do when I’m in way over my head and have no idea how I’m going to get out of it!

PANEL FOUR: PUNCH winks at us.

PUNCH:
Basically, my only hope is to get him angry enough to make some sort of mistake.

PANEL FIVE: PUNCH shrugs his shoulders.

PUNCH:
But it’s not like I haven’t been in this situation before. When I had to face Professor Macready--

PANEL SIX: PUNCH leans close to us with a Cheshire Cat grin, wide and toothy.

PUNCH:
-- oh yes. I really must finish telling you that story, mustn’t I.

PUNCH2:
It’s a cracker!
