PAGE TWENTY-EIGHT

PANEL ONE: TERRY goes limp in DEBRA’s arms. The TRASH all collapses onto the ground. RICHIE lands next to MISS THING.

RICHIE:
Wait! What was he saying?

MISS THING:
Something something paranoid delusion.

PANEL TWO: RICHIE is agitated. He wants to know what TERRY meant.

RICHIE:
No, he was specifically talking about–

PANEL THREE: A hand (AGENT CASPER’s) descends onto RICHIE’s shoulder from behind. RICHIE looks at AGENT CASPER’s face, highlighted by RICHIE’s glow.

CASPER:
We’ll take it from here.

RICHIE:
–Agent Casper?

PANEL FOUR: DeWAYNE rejoins the group, rubbing his head. CASPER is being all authoritarian as, in the background, G-Men in suits are leading TERRY away into a waiting van. (Unmarked black van, of course, shady as all fuck)

DEWAYNE:
OW, gurl, what’d I miss?

MISS THING:
Trashy Terry got schooled!

CASPER:
You four are in a lot of trouble.

PANEL FIVE: RICHIE can’t believe his ears. AGENT CASPER is stonefaced, uncaring.

RICHIE:
WE’RE in trouble?

CASPER:
You were told, Sorensen. No powers outside the Facility.

RICHIE:
He attacked us!

PANEL SIX: CASPER gestures around to the trashy-trashed area of the fight. In the background, a crowd has gathered.

CASPER:
Destruction of property. Endangering civilians. And don’t get me started on finding you outside a bar.
