SPECTRUM #3

PAGE EIGHTEEN

PANEL ONE: RICHIE and DEWAYNE enter the club. Close shot on them, we don’t reveal the club yet.

RICHIE:
So she’s a drag queen?

DEWAYNE:
She’s my drag mother, that’s what she is.

RICHIE:
What’s that mean?

PANEL TWO: DEWAYNE summarizes for RICHIE.

DEWAYNE:
When I first got into drag, she showed me the ropes, taught me how to do makeup, pad this, tuck that… you know?

RICHIE:
I’ve watched Drag Race.

DEWAYNE:
Okay, good, got yerself a basic education.

PANEL THREE: RICHIE asks questions while DEWAYNE orders two Cokes from the bar.

RICHIE:
She called you “Della?”

DEWAYNE:
Two Cokes, please! Yes. You are in the presence of Della Del Rocko, daughter of Flo.

PANEL FOUR: DEWAYNE hands RICHIE a Coke. It’s the first moment they’re nice to each other.

RICHIE:
Wow. That’s pretty cool.

DEWAYNE:
Well…thank you.

PANEL FIVE: DEWAYNE and RICHIE look out from the foreground onto the dance floor/rest of the bar area. Here’s where you get to design the look of the bar! I’d prefer if it were “bright and happy fun” vibe instead of “meat locker fuck market” vibe.

DEWAYNE:
But you ain’t even begun to see “cool” yet.

RICHIE:
Wow.
