PANEL ONE: KARAK folds his broad arms across his chest, clearly suspicious and desiring more information.

KARAK:
You…”found” it. Tell us how.

PANEL TWO: ADRIAN is telling the story, KARAK listens impassively, a couple of the other KLACKARS are listening but with various expressions of disbelief.

NARR:
I told them my story, just as I’m telling you now. I got the impression some of them didn’t believe me, but then chief Karak spoke:

PANEL THREE: KARAK holds up a hand in proclamation.

KARAK:
It is said. Now I will say how it happened.

PANEL FOUR: KARAK speaks to Adrian, hunching down in a squatting position to more ably meet Adrian’s eyes. ADRIAN looks wide-eyed and apprehensive.

KARAK:
Orbos, our Lord Guardian, was responsible for banishing the horrors that dwell in the abandoned village near where we found you.

ADRIAN:
...Horrors?...

PANEL FIVE: Flashback to ORBOS, the key around his neck, with his hand up by his head in a “sensing” pose, with some magic effect around his head to show that he’s using some kind of magical power.

NARR:
Some time ago, Orbos sensed a renegade magic seeking out our world, pulling at the fabric of it, tugging apart the weave of creation.

PANEL SIX: Flashback. ORBOS, KARAK and the SCOUTS from before approach the abandoned village.

NARR:
We followed the magic to the old village-- and there we encountered the Horrors.
