PANEL ONE: DUGGAN pulls out a big, heavy spellbook from under his cash register. It’s clearly been in his family for generations.

PANEL TWO: DUGGAN flips through the book, looking for a particular entry.

DUGGAN:
Now where is that entry…ah.

PANEL THREE: We see the title of the entry in the book: “THE FAIRY UPRISING” in hand-written script. There is a picture of an angry goblin drawn underneath. Goblins are like gremlins except they’re taller and chunkier, like an angry little green-skinned ugly elf. They look mean.

DUGGAN:
The night the fae attacked Coven Cove…but nothing here about why.

PANEL FOUR: DUGGAN continues to read.

DUGGAN:
“City Council warded off the attacks, which began after they appeared in town, escalated…” gods above!

PANEL FIVE: DUGGAN pulls out his phone and types a number into it.

SFX:
Doot deet doot

PANEL SIX: DUGGAN puts his phone to his ear, a worried look on his face.

DUGGAN:
It’s James Duggan. I need to talk to the Council.
