PANEL ONE: DYLAN looks sad as he reads the computer screen.

NARR:
I felt sad again. How could a person’s whole life be reduced to just a few lines on a page?

PANEL TWO: DYLAN hands a printed page (with the article on it) to NAN. NAN accepts the paper and is pointing to his place at the table, where there is a bowl of her goulash.

NARR:
I printed the page to show Nan.

NAN:
That’s good. Now eat your dinner.

DYLAN:
What is it?

PANEL THREE: NAN sits at her own place at the table, putting the printout beside her bowl of stew. DYLAN looks excited at his meal.

NAN:
Hamburg, tomatoes, green beans, onions, tomato sauce.

DYLAN:
Goulash!

NAN:
That’s right.

PANEL FOUR: NAN reads the printout while DYLAN eats with gusto.

NARR:
I loved Nan’s cooking; it distracted me from being sad as I ate my supper while she read the little bit of information I’d found;

PANEL FOUR: NAN is studying DYLAN over the top of the paper.

NARR:
But every so often I’d look over and see her eyes on me. Like she was studying me.

PANEL FIVE: NAN clears away the dishes, and casually asks:

NARR:
Finally, as she cleared away the dishes, she said:

NAN:
You really mean to help this girl?

DYLAN:
Yes, Nan.

PANEL SIX: NAN points at DYLAN to hold his attention as she speaks to him:

NAN:
Then you need to call the Town Council office and tell them where to find her. Say I told you to call. After you tell them everything you know, you say “I swear by the Coven it’s true.”

DYLAN:
Can’t you just tell them?
