PANEL ONE: The diner, early next morning. Breakfast time!

NARR: We decided to get a good night’s sleep -like that’s even possible with everything that’s happened- and meet the next morning for breakfast.

PANEL TWO: At the table, CARTER consults his notes. BAXTER is having a morning beer.

CARTER:
So if Bliss’ body was destroyed, how can he be back?

CARTER2:
Is he a ghost? Are ghosts a thing?

PANEL THREE: BAXTER wipes his mouth.

BAXTER:
Ghosts are as much a thing here as anywhere.

CARTER:
What’s that mean?

PANEL FOUR: BAXTER smirks, annoyingly, eyeing CARTER.

BAXTER:
Means whatever you believe it means.

PANEL FIVE: CARTER throws up his hands.

CARTER:
Could you not just give me a straight answer?

PANEL SIX: BAXTER leans in to the CARTER, absently munching on his breakfast.

BAXTER:
Listen, you’re gonna have to figure this shit out on your own. All I’m saying is: it’s up to you to believe what you can, dude. Only way to get by in this town.

NARR:
I’d want to choke him right now if he weren’t a nocturnal furry ragemonster.
