PANEL ONE: We get a peek inside DYLAN’S journal as he makes notes. We can see various mystical symbols with notes we can’t read.

NARR: My Nan was a true Witch who practiced, and she taught me. Ben and Sandra’s families are more easygoing, more casual.

PANEL TWO: DYLAN writes, with a wry expression on his face.

NARR:
(Witch Tip: There is no one “right” way to be a Witch. You do what feels right to you. Some folks will argue with you about it, but I say, don’t waste your time on them.)

PANEL THREE: A well-dressed man passes behind DYLAN, his eyes glancing down at what DYLAN is writing.

NARR:
Still, the families who uphold the traditions are respected around town–and there’s not a single member of the Town Council who isn’t one of those.

PANEL FOUR: Annoyed, Dylan covers his book so the man can’t see. The man looks embarrassed at being caught.

NARR:
There’s a bit of jealousy on their part because they wanted my Nan to join the Council, but she never would. “Politics ain’t for me,” she’d say.

PANEL FIVE: In the background, the man goes to join a table of equally well-dressed people - two women– and they’re all looking at DYLAN. DYLAN is in the foreground, rolling his eyes. One of the women should be the Councilwoman from Dylan’s youth–she hasn’t aged a day.

NARR:
Sometimes I can feel folks looking at me because they know I Practice with a capital P–and I guess they feel I should be acting a certain way or preparing to join the Council when I’m of age or whatever, but I don’t know about that. I’m just me, and I like just…being myself.
