PAGE THIRTEEN

PANEL ONE: PUNCH’s magic surrounds the two MEN IN BLACK, winding up their bodies with tendrils of energy. The MIB look down at the energy, but their faces remain passive with no emotion.

NARR:
Mages have different kinds of magic. But the one I’m best at is Energy- sensing it, manipulating it…

PANEL TWO: The energy coursing through the two MEN IN BLACK takes them apart, making them shatter in a shower of sparks. They were only robots, and Punch has short-circuited them.

NARR:
...and taking enemies right bloody apart with it.

PANEL THREE: The MIB bodies lay broken and smoldering upon the ground, including one head that has an exposed metal robot skeleton underneath.

NARR:
Oh, these gentlemen were robots. The System often employs killer robots. Sorry. I should have led with that.

PANEL FOUR: A ladies’ stylish shoe, the kind that would go with a stylish woman’s black suit, steps into the foreground. In the background, Punch looks up, startled.

NARR:
Mind you, robots weren’t all they had.

LADY:
Mr. Punch.

PUNCH:
Eh?


PANEL FIVE: JANE SMART, a blond girl in a sassy short haircut, wearing a black business suit and a bowler hat, steps out. She is Punch’s opposite-- a firm, rational no-nonsense young woman in early 20’s (like Punch) and yet she, like Punch, has a lot of personality in her hat.

NARR:
That’s when Jane showed up.

JANE:
Mr. Punch.

PUNCH:
Miss Smart.
