PANEL ONE: A Town Councilwoman, clad in black, looks down at DYLAN; she doesn't see MELISSA.

WOMAN:
We’ll take it from here, Dylan Croft.

MELISSA:
You mean–you did it? You told them where I am?

DYLAN:
Yes.

PANEL TWO: THE COUNCILWOMAN speaks to the air, her hands open, palms up.

WOMAN:
Though I cannot see you, child, I ask your forgiveness.

WOMAN:
Our ancestors failed you. We have failed you.

PANEL THREE: THE COUNCILWOMAN speaks with fervor, smacking her fist into her palm.

WOMAN:
We will make this right…and we will work out how you could have remained undiscovered for so long.

PANEL FOUR: Close-up on THE COUNCILWOMAN’s face, as she looks deadly serious.

WOMAN:
And there will be a reckoning.

PANEL FIVE: MORE COUNCILLORS arrive, forming a circle around the site, like a murder of dark crows. DYLAN is now outside the circle, looking in. MELISSA speaks to him:

WOMAN:
Go now, Dylan Croft. We have work to do.

MELISSA:
Thank you so much, Dylan. I won’t forget you.

PANEL SIX: Close-up on MELISSA’S face as the COUNCILLORS close in around her; we see her face between two of their bodies. She looks sincere, and intent.

MELISSA:
Ever.
