PAGE TWELVE

PANEL ONE: flashback. PUNCH is running from two government agents-- only they look IDENTICAL, because they are actually robots.

NARR:
Oh, I suppose it’s only fair blinking Jane gets a flashback, too. But only because it adds flavour, mind. I’ll not be upstaged in my own story! Anyway-- I had run afoul of two System agents...

PANEL TWO: PUNCH ducks into an alley, the AGENTS hot on his heels. They are shooting at him.

NARR:
There is a downside to magic: It can’t be used obviously. By which I mean, in any way that can’t be explained away logically.

PANEL THREE: Long shot of an alley; PUNCH ducks into the alley while the MEN IN BLACK chase him.

NARR:
At least in public. Therefore, when they started shooting, I started running.

PANEL FOUR: PUNCH has reached the end of the alley. His back is against the wall. He is grinning.

NARR:
However, once out of the public eye…


PANEL FIVE: Punch’s eyes glow and his hands light up with magical energy.

NARR:
...that’s when things began to get exciting.
