PANEL ONE: BAXTER looks over at the sleeping CARTER in the front seat of his truck, while they are in the parking lot of the Verfall Inn.

NARR:
You passed out in the truck, so I brought you back here and let you sleep it off. Came back this morning to tell you the good news!

CARTER:
The...good news?

PANEL TWO: BAXTER holds up the morning’s paper.

BAXTER:
Yeah. The Sheriff made an announcement on the radio this morning, and in the paper. See?

PANEL THREE: BAXTER holds up the newspaper.
