PANEL ONE: Meet Dylan Croft, a young red-headed man who wears a ponytail and dresses like a thrift store pirate. He smiles at the audience.

NARR:
My name is Dylan Croft. I live in Prince Edward Island. This is my story.

PANEL TWO: A picturesque aerial shot of Coven Cove.

NARR:
First, let me tell you about the town I live in. It was founded in 1785, a while after the first settlers came here.

PANEL THREE: An antique photo of the town’s founders, dressed in 1785 garb. However, they’re all smiling. They are holding a painted sign that says “TOWN COUNCIL.” and the bottom of the picture frame is labeled “Our Founders.” There should be an equal number of men and women.

NARR:
But what makes it special is that the town founders were witches. Yup. All of them.

PANEL FOUR: An antique photo of people stepping off a small sailing ship onto the dock at Coven Cove, 1745.

NARR:
They’d come fleeing persecution for witchcraft; that horrible business in Salem, Massachusetts may have come and gone, but anti-witch sentiment was still high.

PANEL FIVE: The town founders holding a ritual around a bonfire. One of them holds what looks like a book of magic, and is reading aloud from it; the others all seem to be chanting with arms raised.

NARR:
So they decided to found a town where not only was practicing witchcraft allowed, but respected.

PANEL SIX: A picturesque sign, freshly painted and with old world charm, that reads “Welcome to Coven Cove.”

NARR:
And they named it, quite appropriately, “Coven Cove.”

Episode 10: The Absolute Flagrant Disregard of Nostalgia, Part Two

In honour of October, the boys, plus special guest star Jeremy Thew, exhume the nearly twenty-five-year-old (but still highest-selling Twogargs book) Diaperman: The Graphic Novel. Old art! Non-backgrounds! Giant fonts! We revisit the time at which it all seemed like a good idea.

OVER THE HUMP!

SPECTRUM #2 NOW AT 51% FUNDED!

I can’t tell you how excited I am to type the above sentence.  We are over the hump, over the 50-yard line, halfway there, WHOOOOOOOA-OH, livin’ on a prayer! However you’d like to phrase it, we are well on our way to total, 100% funding!

To commemorate this fantastic day, I’d like to share a fun one-page comic Jeremy Thew drew starring Spectrum.  Remember those old Hostess Fruit Pie ads from the 70’s and 80’s?  Well, we decided to have SPECTRUM star in Two Gargoyles Comics’ very own “MOSTEST Fruit Pie” ads!

And remember– now that we’re over 50% funded, now is not the time to slow down! Reach out to your friends and family, get the URL bit.ly/SPECTRUM2 trending on social media, invite every one you can think of to back this project! We want this train to ZOOM downhill into the station, not crawl its way there.

Thank you all for your support, backing, and efforts in this campaign!

Can I get a WOO HOO?
